Default Blinking Check Engine Lite?

Hey guys n gals,

Something weird happened to me last night when I took my car out. I was going downtown to get some pizza last nite. I haven't driven the car in awhile so I felt the need to do a brakestand. THe car was warm and everything, always let it warm up before I drive it. Anyway I did a quicklittle brakestand went off with out an issue. Pulled 2nd gear spun for a bit and the motor felt like it cut out.Pushed3rd and the motor felt like it wasmissing and real boggy.I thought to myself the Eleanor didn't like that brakestand to much. 10secs late the "Service Engine Soon" lite started blinking. I was like "WTF!!!" blinked 20 times and went out. Throttle response went back to normal and it drove fine.

I don't know why it came on and why it went off on it's own, can anyone clue me in? I am guessing the car was missing and dumped raw fuel into the exhaust and the O2's didn't like it to much. But I still don't know why it was missing, and yes the TCS was off.

Has it happened to anyone else?

HOW long was the car sitting?? Because you might of had a little water in the fuel. The water might of went through the motor, and set the light off.

The best way to find out what is wrong is to get your history codes read. Go down to the closest CSK parts store. They do it for free. Anytime the MIL comes on it is stored in the history code section of the ECM, as well as your redlione shifts and such.

Here's what you do, you pull the bulb out, snip one of the prongs off the contact of the bulb and put it back, problem solved!
