Default 2004 Mustang Problem Please Help

Hi, i have a 2004 mustang gt automatic, yesterday i started encountering a problem with my car and can use all the helpand advice i can get.

when i started my car, and started to take off, the rpms are going up higher and faster than my speedometer, so to get past 30 mpg my rpms are 4000 or higher it and does it from first through 3rd gear after 50 mph the car is fine but once i slow back down i have the same problem over again any ideas?

Possible that your transmission is slipping.

It could be as simple as low fluid, or needing to have a fluid and filter changed.
But it also could simply need to be rebuilt.

Automatic transmissions are a very complex piece of equipment. The simple thing is to check the fluid to make sure its full.
