My driver side front window started making what I will call a ratcheting noise when it reaches the point of fully being up. I have disassembled the door panel and I can feel the vibration, however, I can't pinpoint the cause of it. I looked inside the door on the bottom and I don't find any debris from something breaking. It will fully roll down without any noise. The ratcheting noise will continue until I release the button.

I had that same problem. I had to replace the regulator and motor. It wasn't too bad of a job. Hope this helps.
