How's the build going? I know things can get slow around the holidays.

It's tropic green and a GT. Would be nice if it were a Bullitt, but no. It does have the Mach 1000 audio system.

When I replaced the intake manifold on my 04,I added sealer to that plug at the back of the valley.Antifreeze was rolling down that valley, going right past that loose fitting plug, and playing havoc with the clutch.

I'm really getting a lot of info from your posts. I've installed cams myself and had the top end off and out of my 04 GT. I've been playing with the idea of forging everything and then adding a SC for a while but I haven't gotten around to it. After reading this post I think that I'll finally rebuild the motor over the summer. Hope to read more and see how things turned out.

Sorry it has been so long since I have posted here. I also have to apologize to those that were looking for updates on this engine/car build, but there will not be any more. What I had hoped would be a fun father-son project to bring us closer together has turned out to be just the opposite. Suffice to say that my son has lied to me so many times and spent so much money going out with his friends while I have supported him that I no longer want anything to do with the car. I can only take so much disrespect. He has finished the engine with used stock heads with the help of his friends. It leaks oil badly and died on him completely the third time or so that he drove it. At this point I no longer care. There is a lesson here, kids: don't crap all over people, especially family, who are trying to help you out. I'm so angry and disappointed that there are simply no words, but I have too much self respect to continue being used. Maybe one day I will get a Mustang of my own to build. For now, I've kicked him and his car out of my house. Again, sorry it had to end this way.

Man that sucks. I was just thinking about this build yesterday. Sorry to hear that.

When you do get a Mustang of your own, I will certainly look forward to that build.

My ideal Mustang would be a 14 Shelby. They may come down in price in a few years. About the only performance mods I would want would be subframe connectors, a torque arm for the rear suspension, and perhaps a brake upgrade. That car is near perfect as it left the factory. I don't much care for the 15 body style.

You really can't appreciate how much this sucks as a parent. He needs to fall flat on his face. He doesn't appreciate anything that's done for him. He just expects it. I was so looking forward to that first drive with him after having put so much work into the car. It quickly became me doing all the work and then me providing him with one of my cars while he wasted all his money going out with his friends and his car sat half disassembled in my driveway for a year. He beat the hell out of the car I provided him. He got fired from his job and lied to me about why, and that was the last straw.
