Default DG-543 Coils

After all the searching for Coil on Plugs for the '04 Mach1, I ordered them through American Muscle. I went for the 'Ford Racing Coils'. I figured they must be somewhat different than factory, being that they were Ford Racing. I think it's the same factory replacement though, since they came as DG-543s. Either way, no problem. My wife was saying she had a 'CHUG-A-LUG' when holding steady on the accelerator around 35 to 40 mph. I thought it might be Torque Converter Chatter at first. But the Tranny seemed fine otherwise. Since the Mach1 has turned over 100,000 miles and I already changed the Plugs, I went ahead and got the Coils. The new Coils did more than take care of the low rpm skipping. Replacing ALL the Coils give a much better benefit than replacing just one coil. The overall performance was enhanced from the first tap on the gas pedal. I thought the price was reasonable at 279.00 for all 8 Ford Coils. So, if you have a slight SKIP or Low RPM Chatter, I would guess most likely it's a Coil. But, it's worth buying them all at once, instead of fingering around trying to find a bad one with an engine over 100,000 miles. Hope this helps others out there. BOB
