Default Tuner

I have a 2002 Mustang GT 5 speed with around 100k on it. Mods include BBK long tubes, BBK offroad x pipe, dumped flomasters, typhoon intake manifold, JLT cold air intake, accel super coils, short throw shifter and 3.73s. I am about to buy a handheld tuner for it. I am considering the Bama x4/sf4. Which one do you recommend and why? Also should I need to include any others mods with the tuner?

Sounds like you're on the right track! You have a great build list so far and the Bama tune will definitely tie all of your mods together. The Bama X4 is a great device and I'm confident you're going to be really happy with that set up!

You'll notice huge gains in power, torque, acceleration, driveability, gas mileage, throttle response and much more with your Bama custom tune! Feel free to give the Bama team a call with any questions you may have. They'd be happy to help you out!

Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!

Also considering upgrading injectors and maf. What is recommended to go nicely with the upgrades I have and the tuner? Thanks for any input

If you have the pink 21# injectors that started shipping with GT's some time in 2002 then you don't have anything to gain from injectors and you aren't flowing enough air yet to need a bigger MAF.

If you have the orange 19# injectors I'd put some 21's (or 24's) in it but you still won't need a new MAF. If you put the 21's in then you don't need a retune but you would with the 24's but the Bama tunes handle the 24's.

I ran Bama tunes when my car had bolt ons and they did improve the driveability and gave me a little extra top end. My cars an auto and in addition to more top end they also really firmed the shifts up which made the car a lot more fun to drive when the pedal was planted.

But if you really want to go fast start putting your money into a piggy bank and save up for a blower, that's when things really start to get fun.
