Ok so i did a compression test for the head gasket, not sure what to look for on compression with a blown head gasket so I am coming to find out and explain my experience with it.

maybe the drivers side is a bit weaker but i dont think its the head gasket. thoughts?

i was getting on it a bit before it started overheating, at about 120 in 4th the car cut out for a second and the radiator spit up on the driver side. it didnt overheat the rest of the 3 miles i drove it to the gas station. it was at normal operating temp then i left the gas station, about a mile down the road it started to get hot so I stopped and ran the heater, which was hot at the time. Then when it cooled enough to start it i did so and the heater went cold....

Your compression test is within range, being 10% of each other. What year is the cobra and the mods?
Also, what does the coolent look like?
When was the thermostat changed last?
Any leaks?

2003 cobra, 2.76 pulley full 3 in exhaust with off road x. intake, thats it... fluid looks normal to me. would a bad thermo cause it to spit up during acceleration?

Being a terminator, I have heard of the issue before. Here are some good threads to read over at svtp. First do the simple things, like blurping the coolant system, maybe changing the thermostat. Like I said before, the compression test looked good. Check out the last thread, it may not be needed but I figured I would show you the cooling mod.

So I went through and started the burping process, and as I was filling i was thinking it was taking too long... i look under the car and its dripping.

took it to the shop and put it on a lift and saw that as i put it in it drips just as fast from in between the motor side of the flexplate and the block... what is it and pleasee dont be a cracked block

How about a video... ordered freeze plugs but I havent dropped the trans to see if thats really it. Either way im not mad if im out 5 bucks

I hope that's the case. There are 4 spots, 2 in the head and 2 in the block, where a leak can happen, plus all the npt fittings and head gaskets. Check out reply 4's pic for an idea.

At the risk of not passing the obvious, but u checked all the heater core hoses especially where the hard pip enters the engine corrrct
