Default buying an alternator

Alternator went out on my 98 Mustang GT. What`s the best replacement? There`s a huge selection from remanufactured for about $70.00(on ebay) to $100 new(on ebay) to $150-$170 or more at Mustang parts shops. (don`t really need a chrome plated one)

Some have gave negative feedback alternators from some parts shops. There is an O`Reily`s, Napa, and other parts shops near.

What kind of results has everyone had?

ebay alternators are a crap shoot at best. You could get a good one , or you could get one that is good for awhile.

If I had to choose I think I would go to napa. Orielys is probly ok and if it fails you can exchange it. Id stay away from ebay alts though especially remans. You never know where it comes from or who remaned it.

I would trust these on eBay:
