Will the V6 Idle Air Control Valve work on my V8 GT?

Yes.

I went to the junkyard yesterday and got an old IAC off of a base model V6 Mustang. The only two differences between the V6 Idle Air Control Valve and the V8 GT one I had from the factory (2004 Mustang GT) are...

1. There is an adjustment screw (black cap) on the V6 unit, rotating it either direction changed nothing for my motor.
2. The plug for the connecter is rotated 180 degrees. (plugs are perfectly compatible)
3. The soleinoid for the plunger is a little longer. (affects nothing and touches nothing on stock set-up)

Same bolt pattern, same gasket, same spot for the Idle Air Control hose to the air intake neck, same sized holes, near identical except for the three listed above and the part number.

I am posting this, because I searched the forums and found nothing relating to swap capabilities of the IAC. $1 at the junkyard is much cheaper than $90 new for the Motorcraft part. (which Motorcraft is HIGHLY recommended, because off brand IAC's can cause issue from the research I did.)
