VTX1800N1

Need suggestions here. I cannot get this SOB to come out. All the nuts are off. The bottom bolt is out. The top bolt will back out about a quarter inch and that's it. I've beat the **** out of it with a 5 lb hand sledge and it won't go any further. I tried taking pressure off it by jacking up the control arm. I can even wiggle it with my fingers but it will not come out. I'm about ready to get out my torch.

I believe that you need to remove the top bolt first, then the bottom one.

Try reinstalling the lower bolt , then take the top one out. Taking the bottom out first puts a bind on the top one.
