Default Emissions????????????????

I have a 03 gt with flowmaster super 44's with all four cats still in place and i would still like it to be louder but still pass emissions so my question is if bought an o/r x pipe and paid a shop to weld two highflow cats would it pass emissions testing or make my check engine light come on??
Thanks, Nathan

By the time you buy the pipe and converters and pay somebody to weld them together, you could have just bought a catted x pipe, installed yourself and save a couple hundred $$.

Whatever you end up doing, be sure to hang on to the factory pipe in case it's ever needed. Even if your plan of a catted x is good and passes legit, laws change all the time and you may need the factory pipe in the future.

Just do what everyone else does, that is, run whatever mid pipe you want and keep the original for smog.

This is what I would do, you can remove the stock midpipe in about 15-20 min, and install an O/R midpipe in about the same amount of time.

Save the stock with cats so you can pass emissions when the time comes.
