Default AOD4 to T56

AOD4 was useful for bracket racing but it's pretty much dead now. I no longer want the car to be a track car and now I'm thinking of swapping it out for a T-56 magnum. Has anyone done this swap or any auto to manual swap? What should I expect?

I've asked questions like this and not many people have experience on the T56 magnum honestly. Good luck.

BTW its the same process for installing a magnum spec, the difference between the t56s in this case is just the internals.

Wow thanks for the awesome info. I saw that you did a t45 to t56 swap. By chance do you know if I will have any computer issues or anything like that going from an auto to manual?

manual transmission are not controlled from the ecu what soever, you just need the proper transmission pig tail to plug into the main harness, u can use a t45 one and modify it as explained in my write up.

You can keep your current ecu and have your tuner turn the transmission functions off completely.
