Default Staggered 18x10/9's

Hey guys, new to the forum. Been reading threads I find on google from here all the time. I've got a question specific to my model (03 GT) that's been driving me nuts. There are 18x10s on clearance right now that I'm looking to pick up. I'm reading that a staggered approach is better with wheels this wide, so debating getting 18x9's in the front.

Tire rotations aren't really an issue for me, I get tires dirt cheap as a family friend owns a tire ship.

Are there any issues with staggering the wheels for this year that I should be concerned with?

Can I get away with getting 18x10s in the front as well or are they just way too wide?

Only suspension mod my car currently has are BBK upper and lower control arms.

Thanks for any tips!

Well its a mustang, not a monster truck, so .... it would look silly with 10s 10s front back. Stick with 8s in the front and 10s out back. Not only would 10s in the front look silly, but it would not handle as well.

Hey mate, thanks for the response. Sadly, for these wheels, they don't offer 18x8's, only 18x9's. But good to know, I'll definitely stagger the wheels then

I would have to disagree, 10's in the front would look no different. The only thing is 10 inch wheel would hit the strut on the inside. Jazzer ran 10's in the front but ran a double wishbone front suspension. Looked like 9's until you looked at the tire size, and it didn't stick out of the wheel well. If I could, i'd run 10's in all four corners but im still running the factory front strut location. Of course I would do this for the little extra grip and not the looks.
OP, you will be fine running the 18x9/10 setup, its a very popular stagger setup.

I along with so many other people run 18x9/10. May go without saying, but make sure you get the proper offsest. If it says its for 99-04 Mustangs, its probably good.

I Would Like To Know What Size Tire you guys are running on the 18x10 in. rim ? What is the widest tire you can get under the 03 Mustang with stock suspension , lowered ? I would like to put a 305/35ZR18 NTO1 Nitto on back to road course Race , is this possible or is that too big ? thanks

Its the off set that makes the differents I have a 22/9'' rim on the front and back of my 09 mustang no rub or hit and 255/35/22 tires. Now my 09 mustang is my show car and I don`t drive it everyday. But I have friends who have 18/9`s in front and 18/10`s on back and 22/9`s in front and 22/11'' on back its the off set that makes it possible.
