Just giving an update on my situation. I have decided against rebuilding my engine because the cost was pretty high. I am going the 5.4 swap route. I found a 5.4 2v with only 14,000 miles on it that I can get complete for $700. I have done tons of research on this swap and it seems pretty straight forward with not many things that need to be changed. I know it won't make huge hp numbers but from what I've heard from people that have done this swap, it will make for a pretty fun street car which is what it will be used for. If there is anyone that has done this swap, how much faster will the car be with the 5.4? I know I will still end up spending a good bit of money when all said and done but shouldn't be anywhere near a forged rebuild and a supercharger. And who knows, I may end up putting a vortech on the 5.4 in the future when the funds are available. Anyways, thank you all for the advice I was given in this thread. And any further advice or recommendations will be appreciated.
