I bought a set of subframe connectors. And I think I'm about to look pretty stupid. I looked under the car today to get ready to install my subframe connectors and I see what I am assuming is a subframe connector already there. The pic I'm going to attempt to post is the driver side.

I was expecting the car to be 100% bone stock.

It's a 2001 mustang gt convertible.

Send them back. Those are most def SFC's.

Those a stock SFC. An aftermarket SFC will be welded in. Trust me, worth every penny! Which SFC did you buy?

The stock sfc's, if you look, don't actually connect the subframes. They would have to be longer in order to accomplish that, and more rigid as well. The stock pieces instead should be called floorpan stiffeners, because that's about all they actually do.

Ahhhhhhh thanks guys. I was going to put them on e bay or something. I bought the weld in SR sub Frame connectors from American muscle. I guess I wI'll pull off those and weld in the new ones.

Which ones did you buy; can you put up a link? Make sure when you have them installed that the shop supports the suspension not the body, trust me it will go very badly if you don't. Best if they use a roll on lift.

I will put up a link shortly. I was planning on doing the install myself. Jack it up, put it on a jack stands and go to work... suggestions?

Make sure the stands support the suspension not the body. Otherwise the body will be twisted.
