Hey guys I've been looking at this 03 GT, it runs and drives great but it just has a lot of miles and has a rebuilt title, it's been in an accident and the rear quarter needed replaced, he's asking 5k, that's kinda high right? Here's the link

Honestly I wouldn't touch that car with a ten foot pole. I have seen lower mileage cars without the title history listed for that much, if not just a little more.

I'd offer him 1500 cash, maybe 1800 or walk away, you can find clean title 99-04 GTs with less then 125k for less then 5 grand now

I'd pass. A vehicle with high miles and a history of being smashed up? Not me,and not the guy buying it from you when you're done with it..
I think that I'd have a hard time finding someone to cough up 8k for my clean 04 GT convertible with 69k,so 5k for that one doesn't make sense.

Also what would your plans for this car be? If you're looking for something to drive on the weekends and show off, you'll more than likely be disappointed with this (or you'll have to spend a ton to get it looking good). If you're looking for a track car, then try to get it for the price mentioned above and then you have some cash left over to play with.

Offer him $1500. If he says no, tell him to call you if he changes his mind. When he calls you back in 2-3 weeks saying you've got a deal, say "$1200 it is then". When he calls foul, you call wasting your time.

i agree with mustangman02232 i would give him about $1000-$1500 or walk cause i can find ones that run good with like 125k for about 2k-5k
