Replacing the Intake Manifold
Ok, so the intake manifold is leaking antifreeze where the heater core line hooks into. So my question is what would be the best replacement? i have looked on here and found that people prefer the aluminum over the plastic, but i see that there are alot of other add ons if you get the aluminum one, and the price of all of that is pretty steep at least for my taste. So if i were to just replace it with an other plastic one i'll be set right? Where do you recommend that i get it from?

any parts store carries these intakes if you have done the pi swap part number is 615-175(dorman products) if you have not done the swap the part number is 615-178(dorman products) they on average run 200 to 300 dollars depending on where you go

yes. most people replace their cracked manifold with a factory replacement. i bought mine from 50resto.com it was 189 dollars. it is plastic with an aluminum coolant crossover. if you want all aluminum your gonna have to pay around 450 dollars or more

For the most part yes...your stock intake manifold is not the choke point in the 2V 4.6L it is the cylinder heads I believe. So until your making big power and/or have ported your heads the aftermarket intake manifold essentially gives you 0 gains.
