My 1996 GT mustang won't start need help

So I own a 1996 mustang GT v8 4.6l and I replaced the battery on it but it won't even turn over and no lights or nothing will come on, there is no power whatsoever, need help please.

Look under your hood and check all the large fuses in the power distribution box.
Inspect the ground and power leads from the battery to where they connect at both ends.

clean the terminals on the battery and the wires. this happens to me on a regular basis with my 2003
