2000 Mustang GT MT gear lever stuck?
Hello,
I have replaced the clutch, pressure plate, pilot bearing and throwout bearing on my 2000 Mustang GT. Now that everything is bolted back on, the gear stick is not moving. It wont go in or out of gear it's just feeling like it's seized. Any advice?
Scott

Shifter feels like it's stuck in neutral?
Are you sure that the clutch is being fully activated by the clutch pedal? If it's not disengaging the clutch,I think that you might have the symptom described.
Assuming that you have the shifter properly installed too.Check that.

It's a T45 transmission. It just seems that the shifter was seized so I replaced it and it's fixed. Now my problem is the car is acting like it's stuck in 4th gear. Even when the stick is in neutral and I let out the clutch it tries to go forward then dies off.

When you pulled the shifter off the top of the trans there should have been a little plastic/nylon cup in the hole most times it sticks on the shifter ball and you have to put it back in the hole. Make sure that little cup/bushing is not wedged in there some place blocking the shifter rod. Last time someone had issues like yours it was because they didn't keep track of that little cup and it got dropped inside and was wedged in behind the shifter rod.
Youll have to first pull the shifter and verify that the trans is able to be shifted with out the shifter in place. You can do it using a screwdriver or a pair of vice grips. In the pic below you can see where that little cup is supposed to go into the hole where the shift ball seats.
