Default Intake question

hey whats going on so I have this 96 gt and the intake is leaking it's a sohc can I put a cobra intake on it? will it fit? or do I have to fun the sohc intake its my play car not my dd so im just working on it when I have time for fun I just got done doing a stage 3 clutch in it its a fun toy just once I know whats going on with this intake I can fix it and drive it for the first time

Nope, Cobra heads and intake are a totally different design.

Unless heavily modded its best to stick with the stock intake.

Vortech V-1 T Trim SC (intercooled), MMR 900 Short Block, CMS Stage 1 blower cams, MHS Stage 1 heads, eddy Vic jr intake, 6061 plenum, FRPP 410's, Flowtech LT's, MGW STS, Nitto NT55 DR's (305/35-18)

498 RWHP/410 ft lbs of torque---Not bad for a little ol 2V...

You could also use a PI intake from a '99+ GT. My understanding is a little bit of rtv sealant in a couple spots and it works just fine and good for 10-15 hp.

2001 Laser Red GT convertible; all of the usual bolt-ons.

1967 Notch; 200 I-6, C4 auto.
