Default wheel spacers on 20 inch wheels

hey guys,

I have 20x8-8.5 inch wheels on the rear and i want a more aggressive look. I have looked through several different forums, trying to research it, however i have had no luck...atleast with 20's. So i know people HATE 20 inch wheels on our model mustangs, but i dont. so with that said.

what wheel spacer could i get away with without having to roll my fenders. My car has been lowered i believe 1.25 - 1.50.

Thanks alot. looking for opinions on what would be best...i just ordered a 25mm or 1inch spacer for the rear.....should i cancel?

I don't know what your offset is, but the math isn't hard. Based off your offset you can determine how far the outermost face of your wheel is from the hub. Then you could go find some 10" wide wheels online somewhere for our model and do the same calculation for its offset. Whatever the difference between the two is should be a safe spacer amount.

Also would kind of depend on how wide of a tire you currently have. Out of curiosity what size tire are you running on a 20" wheel?

I agree check the tire that you are running. I love the larger rims 20's and 22's with the right tire you can get that look that you want and have no rubbing and get everything under the fender..

currently right now, i am running a 245/35/20....been told the largest i can on a 8 or 8.5 wheel is 265/35/20 or 275/30/20 (but i wont go that big).

I'll prolly just add the 1inch spacer then when i get new tires, see what the largest i can get is.

Dang, I'm running 265 series on my 9" fronts, which I think is pretty standard, but I wouldn't want to go bigger--and to run that on a narrower wheel seems like a stretch to me personally. I know you said you wouldn't go that big anyways though.

Do you know what the offset on your current wheels is?

Hmmm, "wheels is", something about that doesn't sound right lol

So I don't know the offset,(if I knew the offset, I would have included it when you asked earlier), can't find it anywhere online. The wheels are Limited Alloy 081 20x8.5.

That's all I know.

Hmm, no luck here either. I tried calling a company that sells them, but after being on hold for 10 minutes I hung up. Sorry man...

I mean technically, you could measure your offset. Take a wheel off and lay it face down. Lay a plank of wood or something flat across the back face and measure down to the hub of the wheel. If your board is resting against the tire versus the wheel, you'll have to account for that distance. From there offset can be determined. Take your measurement and subtract 4.25", or 107.95mm, which is half the width of your wheel. You now have your offset since offset is the measure of how far the hub is from the middle of the wheel.
