Default SLP Exhaust Question

Looking into buying SLP Long Tubes and full LM 1 exhaust system for my 4.6 . Anyone here pleased with the performance and sound of SLP? I wanna get other peoples opinions and experience before i go out and get this myself.

This is true. Plus you have to consider are you getting a catted or o/r midpipe? X or H? The midpipe can have almost the same effect on sound as mufflers.

If you're lucky to find someone who listed all their full exhaust on youtube, you may find someone with long tubes, which midpipe you want to run, with lm1. Chances of it being all the same brands is not so great. Realistically though, the performance gain from changing from stock manifolds to long tubes and finishing out the rest of the exhaust, especially with straight through mufflers, is where the performance comes from. Not really from brand X vs. brand Y on the same type of part...

As far as quality is concerned, I've heard good things about SLP. Never owned any myself, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't. I'm more partial to the lm2 over the lm1 though--and Borla stingers over lm2 But everyone and their brother, and mother, and grandma has stingers it seems like...

I have had the SLP LM2 on my Stanford for about 6 years now with an off-road x pipe and it still sounds amazing. It's so loud. As far as the headers there slip on headers which means they would most likely have to be welded. Get the jba ceramic long tubes. You will not be disappointed with this set-up. It's so sick

I have the lm1s on the 03. I love them as they sit now, previously i had it paired with a bassani x pipe with no cats and it was too loud for the area im in.
