Default looking to buy a stang what to look for?

looking to buy a mustang gt 99-04 looking for advice on what to look out for when looking at cars...

I want a 5 speed preferably non convertible but looking it seems it is cheaper and easier to find convertibles so I am starting to consider one but I don't know if im crazy about it. is there things to look for when looking at a convertible in particular? do they have problems with top operation? any help is much appreciate

Ive never owned a mustang but I hope to soon... I have looked at a lot online im trying to stick with cars around or under 100,000 miles... trying to keep the price under 8,000

Other than your usual things with any car, one thing I could think to check if you can is the torque boxes. The condition of the torque boxes can tell you a lot about how the car was driven.
