Default Worth it to put a Vortech SC on a 00-04 GT?

Hey guys, I'm in the market for a 00-04 GT. Just like the title says, I was wondering if you folks think it's worth it to go crazy install that. Also, if you only need minimal tools and can do it yourself with little garage experience.

If any of you can recommend a different SC that would also be pretty nice. The Vortech one is 4.5k I was hoping there was a different one for a bit cheaper, but with the same quality.

Absolutely!!! I have had mine on for almost 5 years and love every minute of it. If it is done right, tuned right, you can drive it every day without issue.

Absolutely it is. I did the $1500.00 supercharged build about 4 yrs ago. Car has had a lot of issues but Supercharger is still going strong.

I have a 00 with a allen supercharger.. dyno tuned at 9.53 pounds of boost.. Rev limiter is set at 5k and makes 354 horse to the wheels... wicked fast and solid car... I love it!!

Buy as much as possible used, and it is pretty easy. Although I think now it is a little closer to 2k than 1500.

Just have the motor checked out thoroughly before install. If the compression is off in a cylinder, start socking away money for a forged rebuild. Thats what I had to do. Can't afford to blow up a motor in my only car

by todays standard a 4.6 base mustang NEEDS the supercharger just to even be close as fast as a new coyote GT. And even with the blower itll fall short unless the shortblock is forged and u run 12+ pounds of boost.
