CD malfunction
I own a 1997 Mustang GT, whenever I put a CD in the screen reads "CD" track 1 and the elapsed time 0:00 but remains that way. The time doesn't run and neither does the music. After a few minutes the disc runs automatically. What should I do?

You could try using one of those compact disc player cleaners - dunno if you've ever seen one, come to think of it I haven't in a while, but there is (or used to be) a CD with little brushes on the playing surface that you could stick in the player and it was supposed to clean off the laser lens.
Or get a can of air duster and blast some of that in there.
Both are a last ditch effort. Keeping things in perspective, you have an 18 year old car with an 18 year old audio system. These things do wear out, and your problem sounds more like an electronic malfunction than it does a mechanical one such as a dirty lens. My crystal ball shows you making a visit to Best Buy for a new head unit.
