That's the thing, you want the higher compression which helps with the HP increase.

Right I under stand that but he wants to continue to use 87 octane instead of having to go to premium fuel.

But it completely defeats the purpose of the PI swap.....you'll see minimal gains without a tune and bumped compression, should of stayed NPI
