OK, I swapped out the auto in my 18 yr. old sons GT for a manual from a 98 GT. I tried to use the 98 ecm but the PATS prevented it from starting. I re-installed the ecm from the 96 auto and it starts and runs but i get tons of codes and the check engine light is on. It is overdue for inspection and it Texas it cannot be done with the light on. Can someone please tell me what my options are to get this taken care of. I talked to Dallas Mustang and they want $900 plus to reflash the computer. That's more than i paid for all of the conversion parts and a new clutch! Should i find a 96 GT manual ecm and have the PATS reprogrammed? Please help!
