that depends on what type of failure your clutch experienced, if the ac pulley bearing wore out and got loose, then that could in theory put some slack in the belt due to the pulley moving out of center, and that could make your belt slip, and the alt lose speed

jwogg thanks man for the input. The tech showed me the ac clutch and it was rocking side to side. The bearing was toast. Im going to pick it up tomorrow so I'll know for sure.
