haha, wow, this makes me feel a lot better. all i've heard so far were long tubes won't help unless you're high hp...and about that cut and weld, if you can't do that...the o/r shorty h-pipe is $120 (for my 5.0...parts are a little more for a 4.6 i guess <IMG src=smileys/smiley11.gif border="0">)from summit...not sure how much the o/r shorty x-pipe is, can't be too much more.</P>

I would go with the Long tube headers. B.B.K. makes a nice set. I got the Ford Motorsport shorties, And i wish that I went with the long tubes.

<FONT size=2>noooo macs are bad....they have been known to hurt a few engines by sucking weld slag back up into the EGR system and back into the engine scarring the cylinder walls and ruining the engine...I think that a solution is scrubbing the inside out and removing as much slag as possible...then running the engine with the EGR disconnected for 10 minutes or so after you install....ide def just get a nice set of bbk long tubes man</FONT></P>

Ill tell you soon if long tubes are worth it.Im swapping over my equal length shorties for some long tubes.Of course im doing this on a carbed 331 and you have a 4.6 but i would think that they would respond the same to the long tubes.<edited><editID>TheGmKiller331</editID><editDate>37988.1865046296</editDate></edited>
