Hey man I don't think it's about the numbers (right now) but the potential of the 5.4 L setup. Kinda wish I had went that route.

Tis not about the numbers right now... Soldier is right. This is a simple test on whether the set up would work, and what issues I am encountering driving it for the 1st 48 hours.

Now that I know a 5.4L setup will work, I will spend the cash to build a high out put 5.4, although I have pondered a 5.0 Coyote swap.

So far I documented the following:

Stalled Twice on slow down with car in neutral at about 40 mph, approaching EZ pass toll booth and on an exit ramp.

Clutch cable seems to be binding due to the size of the valve covers and how they block the clutch cable from having the least resistant path.

Brake lines are too close to the headers this could cause brake fluid boil, and possible brake failure, will have to re-route lines.

Headers sit too close to floor pans, could be a safety issue if the headers heat the floor enough to melt floor carpeting. Will have to go with a tubular K-Frame to fix this issue.

Also, because headers touch floor pans I detected a possible exhaust leak, most likely due to weld not sealing the header to the cat pipes 100%

Power steering is not working as planned, is a bit harsh when stationary, loosens up when driving though, however a bonus is that due to the extra 55lbs of weight the 5.4L adds it seems to stiffen up the vehicle much more making driving a bit more precise, but cornering becomes an issue as I think the steering shaft is slightly rubbing the headers, will be addresses when i switch out K-Frame.

The output on the vehicle is definitely improved over the 4.6L 2V. The car is very torque driven, what I do enjoy is that I have more torque to the wheels than a stock 3V or even a Mach 1 4V (Of which I own), however, the HP and torque drive train loss is a bit disappointing. Our 2nd Dyno pass yielded a 280 HP RW output, with torque jumping up a few ft lbs. However, we will need to work on some of these other issues before I do anymore dyno pulls or tweaks.

For the record I took the car to work today, 120 miles round trip and it didn't leave me stranded, but I did get worried when the EZ pass stall happened, the second stall occurred when I ran to Best Buy to pick up some iPads for my kids for XMAS. In other good news it is averaging 22.5 MPG Hwy, but I also detected it is running a bit rich, most likely need to adjust fuel trims a bit more as I am using 39# injectors

Some pictures in its finished state with a Duraflex COBRA R hood (Which I loathe, not due to style but fitment, this thing is the poorest fitting aftermarket hood I have ever seen.)
