Default ABS light

Ok,so I bought a scan tool, which indicated that it couldn't communicate with the ABS system. It was fine with the rest of the car's systems.
I'm thinking that it might mean the car has a bad module.
Regardless,I'm fine with living without the ABS/Traction system. It's my fair weather ride, never raced, etc.I've probably driven a million miles, and ABS wouldn't have made a dif with regard to accidents, etc.
My question is how to make it so that the lights don't come on.I pulled the under hood fuse, that made the light stay on permanently.Put it back in,and pulled the under dash fuse.Same result.

so you want the "abs light" off is what I'm getting, I've had that for 6 years I don't know that their is a away to keep that clear with out fixing the issue. removing fuses will do nothing but cause the same light and give you other issues abs is not the only thing controlled by those 3 fuses that are linked to brakes.

Yes,I just want the light out.I guess that I'm fixing it or living with the light.
Somewhere here,I read about the module being a possible source of the problem.
My local mechanic and I both got the same response from the code readers."Check connection-can't communicate"
Not sure of the next step in checking it out.

Do like my dad and put some black electrical tape over the light.

Update: My issue was caused by a faulty module,a not uncommon problem with these Bosch ABS systems. No need to replace the entire pump/module unit or to open the brake system. There are two outfits on ebay that offer a $99 repair of the module(apparently a solder joint fails).A Wila Torx T20 L shaped wrench will be a help in removing just the module(also available on ebay for a few dollars) I just reinstalled my repaired module and I'm happy to no longer see the ABS and TC light come on.

It's better to have the system fixed, as you did, but next time you could just remove the lamp from the cluster.
