My Mustang belonged to my Mom for the first 190k miles. I've replaced the intake manifold, a known issue, and the rear end needed replacing as it was starting to make noise in reverse. Great opportunity to change it over to 3.73. I couldn't see it as my daily driver but it's a great car to tool around in.

I've used mine as daily driver since 2005 and just normal wear and tear items.

Doubt if it will equal a Toyota though.

I used my car as DD, now with 195k on the same engine, tranny ,rear. Common problems with a 4.6 V8 engine has been replaced/repaired. From your statement you were driving a 4-doors FAMILY car. You are now looking at a SPORT / Muscle car big different. I consider my car very reliable, didn't expect it to get 200k or more. Because i intended to really drive my car the way it was made to be driven. My family car Taurus is not driven in the same manner, so i expect it to get 200k . Good luck in your search, but be reality also in your search.
