Trouble with the motor
Hello, I have just a standard 2004 mustang, 40th anniversary edition, and out of no where it has started giving me problems. I was driving one say and them all the sudde . It's like she was struggling to go. It will crank and everything, but it won't go over around 2 or 2.5 RPMS it just runs really high when you try to. Any advice? I want to take it to the shop but I would like to try and see how much money I'm looking at before I have to have it towed there, to have it turn around and have to get towed back. Thanks!

Check engine light on or flashing?
Could be a lot of things.... Ignition issue (bad plugs or coil), fuel (plugged/restricted filter or dirty injector), catalytic convertor gone bad, MAF sensor issue, vacuum line broken/disconnected.... We could go on and on.
If the CEL is on, get the codes read and then post what you came up with. If you are mechanically inclined even just a little bit then get under the hood and start looking around. This is likely to be something simple if you have a general idea of what to look for.
