needing some anwser about a JLT coldair intake, and tuner, what do you think
I am New member here, does anyone know anything about the JLT Series 3 cold air intake! with the SCT x-4 tuner?
reviews i have read say anywhere to 20-30 RWHP is this true, i have a 2007 gt with the 4.6L.
is this possible with the tuner, and would it hurt my motor with just stock everything? would you recommend JLT or go with a different brand?

Definitely won't hurt anything. The "20 - 30" hp gains advertised, it's not advertising trickery but it is slightly deceptive in that when most people think of gains they are thinking about peak gains. Such as, your car has 300hp stock and that by adding these parts it will now have 320 - 330 hp. The advertising deception, if you watch the dyno chart that companies such as American Muscle post alongside the tuner/cai combo show that those 20 - 30 hp gain is actually more in the midrange of the rpm band, not at the top or "peak". At the top, it's typically more like 10 - 12 hp.
Still very useable and very noticeable hp gains and a legit mod for your car, just making you aware of the advertising bs, that's all.
Other than that, you are in the wrong 4.6 section. Try reposting in the 2005+ section, those guys can give you a little more perspective on how your car will react with this particular setup and if they like something different or not.
