Default Water in rear footwell after hard rain - 2003 Convertible

Hello all,

I have a 2003 GT and have recently noticed that the footwell behind my passenger seat is soaked after a hard rain. I have done some research and it seems as if there is a drain that may be plugged with debris that I need to clean/clear to let the water out. I looked up ways to clear these drains and this is what I have done so far.

1. removed rear seats
2. removed rear quarter pannel.

I have posted a picture below of where I am at. Can someone please pinpoint the exact area in which I need to clean?

Thanks in advance.

Mine had the same issue. I had to put more seam sealer running along the floor underneath the carpet. It's the seam closest to the door. From the front to the back.

Mine had the same issue.(I believe that parking the car on a grade, with the nose higher than the rear, aggravates the issue)
I did the same remedy as the previous poster.I sealed all floor seams under the right seat, including seat mounting bolts and along the rocker panel. From reading here,I understand that this is the problem area,(somehow it rolls down the chassis from the front door pillar)and though I didn't note any gaps,I haven't had the problem since......well,not that problem.Last summer, I started to get rain coming in near the left rear corner of the vert top.Supposedly,a seam gets a wear hole in that region.I can't find a break.I also get rain dripping over the right door speaker, and again,I can find no faulty weather seal or wear area.....Aggravating on a car that is in nice shape and not weather beaten.

What type of sealer did you use? I will probably try resealing the areas off. I cleaned out the well under the seat really good but am unaware of the exact location of the weep holes. Can you point me in the right direction? I already have my seat and quarter panel taken off as in the attached picture in the OP

I used some Permatex RTV Ultra Grey gasket maker.I had most of a tube left over from when I did another typical Mustang repair, the intake manifold.
It turned out to blend perfectly with the color of the factory seam sealer.
You'd never know that it was done.I wish that I had found an obvious defect in the factory application, but I did not.

Once water accumulates under the seatwell, which hole, hole in the area is it supposed to drain through?

I'm not really sure if it's supposed to exit from one below the front door pillar,or one that's just ahead of the rear wheel arch.
I've also found water in the recess directly below the seat.
