Default Welding the k member

I have run into a small snag. I have broken the bolts on the passenger side of my k member where they attached to the sub frame.
Is it completely dumbass for me to just weld the k member to the frame? Besides the obvious inability to drop the k member for headers and such. Is welding it a horrible idea?
I have a upr tubular k member.

Are replacement bolts an option?

I think you answered your own question.... If you ever needed to drop that K member again for whatever unforseen circumstance, having it welded to the car will introduce some challenges.

It is not uncommon to weld the K-member to the chassis in high horsepower race cars. In a street car it would probably end up being more trouble than extracting the broken hardware.

I was told by the shop they would need to machine new holes and it would be a pain in the ***. Guess I will look for a new shop

Update
They are fixing the k member bolts for $250. I figured way more. I'm happy.
