Morning!

Well, I know technically, its not a stang, but it does have a few mustang parts. I picked up an SVT ford focus w/ a 2004 Cobra 4.6L dropped in (converted to RWD). one of the first things i'm looking to do is boost it. (I'm aware that the 04 cobra came w/ a blower, however, the original owner opted to start off NA to see what the unibody could handle and upgrade later which he never got around to.) That being said, I am caging the entire thing, tied into the front strut towers for rigidity all the way back and putting the blower on it.

So, what i'm looking for:

1.) What parts are needed to go from NA to boost (will likely go with a Whipple charger itself, but need to know what original OE parts need to be there). I'm guessing I need a different manifold and other things. (I know I need a new belt)

2.) What kind of torque can the OE T-56 clutch hold?

I already have the fuel system to support much more power than I care to put out of it, so that's not an issue.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. I will post pics next week. The vehicle is still on the way here. I will also be lurking the forums to find out as much info as I can

Thanks in advance for all your help!

Are you 100% positive it's an 03-04 cobra engine and not an 99-01? They look the same other than the supercharger/manifold but a big difference inside.

Why would you want more horse power and not be able to hook? Yeah i would check to make sure its an 03-04 motor before you go crazy on the power mods.

100% sure its the 03-04 cobra motor. make that 110% sure. That is one of the things I was concerned w/ initially. The build started out w/ a Mach 1 motor, but upgraded to the 03-04 cobra motor. (mach 1 was never installed) i'll be running 315 profiles in the rear when everything is said and done. (RS bodykit is widebody).
