Finally having cams installed
So I finally pulled the trigger and decided to have cams installed. Car will be picked up Friday. My builder said the car runs great and sounds even better. He just has to do a few more tweaks to the tune and she will be ready to go. Got a smoking deal on the cams, stage 2 Comp cams, with springs, retainers and locks for $680 shipped. Could not pass that deal up. Will post more pics of the tear down, build and hopefully dyno runs when my builder gets them to me.

Got the car back and she runs really well. Shop did a great job. Kind of glad I took it in, because one of the plastic timing chain guides was broken so who knows what would have happened had that failed. New plugs, valve seals, cam bolts and ARP head studs. Car dyno'd about 376 rwhp at the last dyno meet and came in at 419 rwhp so got some good gains. They had to pull a ton of timing out and fatten it up a bit to keep it at that level without popping the motor. Car sounds really good and has a ton of pull.

Thanks man, really want to be where you are at HP, but that will require a built bottom end.
Just take into account the whole cost. Not just cams, install and tune. That alone is close to $1500 not including any incidentals. Springs, head studs, gaskets, plugs, oil, oil filter and other misc parts.
