worst advise ever^^^
its a $10k reward for turning in anybody who discharges an ac system into the atmosphere. so if anybody who does would be so kind as to provide me with their contact info i could buy some more parts. but seriously, do it the legal and correct way, there is a reason they dont want this crap pumped into the atmosphere

I agree, I don't ever remember seeing that post. hopefully he was being sarcastic. any one with half a brain knows not to drain Freon in the atmosphere.

The low pressure started at 40 then dropped to 20.. on the high side it would start at 215 and top off at 300. after about 30 minutes or so. the low side stabled at 30 and the high at 240. the compressor now does not cycle. the tech told me that the pag oil more than likely hadn't spread through the whole system yet. obviously it has now. And I saved over 700 dollars. Thanks all of you who helped!!!
Nice! glad to see it's all put back together and running well.

It generally does take a freshly revamped system a little while to stabilize as it equilibrates for the first time so your initial pressure fluctuations aren't a surprise. Do you know how much (lbs) of freon the shop put in? Just curious.

You never want to use compressed air on any system. Compressed air contains moisture. Use nitrogen only.
