I'm glad that you got rid if your lemon, but I tell ya, I'd have pitched more of a bi**h to Ford about having them replace your car, or credit it towards another Ford vehicle of your choosing instead of having someone else take over your problems. I'd not want someone else to go through what you did.</P>

Ford was good on some things crappy on others, they did repair the faulty chipping paint in the front...I mean the 1st year your paint starts chipping .. WTF ?? They fixed the broken door lock, tried to fix the rattles with limited success...I will take credit for the tear in the seat back.</P>

But-</P>

The sub-par performance ate at me big-time, other GT's were faster..my friends 6-cyl BMW 330 killed me in a race several times...he always pulled regardless as to shifting etc... I was so PO'd. 260 HP should kill 225 HP cars same weight, actually Stang sligtly lighter even.. WTF ??</P>

I just either made a big mistake or chose a lemon or both. Ford did try to work with me in all fairness..but the disappointments are over &amp; I am considering the Mach 1, 10 more horses for 2004, or a 2002 BMW M3 which really kicks A** as well 0-60 4.7 in stock form !!.</P>

Thanks for all the comments !!!</P>

Unsure, If I go Mach 1, I will get an 04, they added slightly more HP &amp; Torque, I am in love with an M3..its a 2002 &amp; its feels like a freakin' dragster .. seriously. BMW's are so expensive though - and high strung etc...</P>

I am not 100% sure just yet, and since I made a quick decision before, I have learned and will take my time. I have nothing against Ford in general, just think I bought the "Runt" of the litter.</P><edited><editID>weinercar</editID><editDate>37983.5115740741</editDate></edited>

There is no difference between the 03 &amp; 04 Mach 1's. Ford purposely underrated the Mach 1 motor to avoid another incident like the 99 Cobra. </P>

Now that consumers have dyno'd and magazines have done their research they are bumping up the ratings. <IMG src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0"></P>
