JUS BOUGHT A WRECKED 02 W/ STICK. CANT GET IT TO CRANK. ALL LIGHTS LIGHT UP. IT HAS A AFTERMARKET ALARM, LOOKS LIKE I NEED TO RIP IT ALL OUT. DO YOU HAVE TO PRESS THE CLUTCH TO START?? THE FLOOR BOARD WAS KNOCKED IN A BIT, MAYBE IT WONT GO DOWN FAR ENOUGH.

its not getting power to it, that's why I want to know if I have to press in the clutch. not sure if they came with a safety switch . if so, then the clutch may not be going down far enough due to the firewall dented in a bit

Yes there is a switch, located up at the top of the clutch pedal. Real bitch to get to and deal with, may consider spending two minutes removing the driver seat to make access a little easier (it will still suck though).

You need to depress the clutch. For a car hit that hard, the inertia switch for the gas tank was probably tripped,so you must reset that too.
