Default Help 2002 Mustang Gt Running Rich

I put a Borla catback exhaust and an off road x pipe with no cats and now my 02 sensors are going crazy and making my car run extremely rich till where it can shoot flames. But it has a super rough idle so does anyone know anything I can do to fix this?

I imagine your check engine light is on as well? When you delete that cats you have to either trick the computer into thinking that they're there with these:

Or get the car tuned.

You need to post the actual codes that are being set.

But if your getting flames out of the back, I suspect a leak in the exhaust. Someplace before the o2 sensors. Could be a leak at the exhaust manifold gasket or a leak at the exhaust manifold flanges.

Mil eliminators are only for the down stream sensors, they have no control over the engine management. Its the up stream sensors that take care of that. Again any exhaust leak or any unmetered air before the upstream 02 sensors will cause the car to think its lean,, it will then adjust fuel to enrich the mixture. But it can only add so much untill it reaches the factory set thresh hold, then it sets a DTC lean code. The rear o2 is only there to sample the exhaust coming out of the cats, compares with upstream readings and can tell the computer if the cats are operating as intended.

This is why the actual codes are important. There are (iirc) 6 different 02 codes it could set. But the down stream sensors do nothing for engine management.
