Default Which Exhaust Set-Up Is Best For 04 GT?

I have an 04 GT and was just wondering if anyone could tell me what the best exhaust set-up would be. I'm looking into the Bassani x-pipe w/ cats and Bassani catback. What would the best headers be, and would I need to unbolt and lift the engine to install them?

FRPP or BBK ceramic coatedheaders would be my first choice. Either way the install will be a PITA. I think you can do it by disconnecting the steering shaft and pulling out the starter without having to raise the engine.

almost any aftermarket exhaust is going to be best for your car. whatever you think sounds the best is the best one. i'm not a huge fan of bassani, mostly do to their price tag. the "different" sound they offer isn't worth the extra $100+ over all other catbacks.

What about a Magna Flow system? Do they sound nice?

they sound good when you get on the gas. just cruising around it sounds almost stock. not really my cup of tea. i wouldn't mind them if i had an off road midpipe.

^^That's my choice! Also with a catted h-pipe.

I just put a magnaflow exhaust (mufflers) cat back on my 04 and it sounds a little bit louder than stock just cruising around, but wot it gets pretty mean. I will probrably be putting a catted h-pipe on it for a little more rumble, but that's about it. Don't wanna **** the neighbors off lol.

That's what i did. I put on Magnaflows and wasn't really impressed with the idle, but the WOT is pretty good. I ended up putting on a Mac o/r H, an now it'll talk to ya.

For the FRPP headers, what size would you recomend? Shorty or mid-length? I'm looking for something that will bolt up to the Bassani X-pipe w/ cats.
