Looking for advice on a cold air intake for my 99 GT. MAC? K&N? Ford Motorsports?

I got a MAC Cold Air Intake. I like it, it also looks cool because it has crome on it.

Can you tell any performance difference? How about noise? Does it sound better?

l heard that cold air kits dont make a big difference in hp. l would say get the K&N O.E. style filter. l have the filter and the air silencer removed. lt sounds pretty good.

i got the BBK cold air induction kit with the K&N on it. I changed the mass air meter to the vortech 73mm housing. The sound is amazing, when i step on it evenone things i have a charger under the hood, and also when you punch it you can hear the air get sucked in. When i change the Mass Air Meter housing i notice a change in the car. But not really with the K&N. This kit is crome and blue.. looks good......

Yea mine sounds cool too ECR5.0, sorta like a wooshing sound (MAC Cold Air). Sounds like a turbo or charger in a way, heh. It was a little improvement, and also the exhaust sounded a little louder too, but I'm sure you could just get a K&N and save some $$$.

ECR5.0...I have not changed the housing. I still noticed a difference however. Someone told me that if I got a different Mass Air housing then somehow my car would'nt run right. Sounds dumb I know, I wish I could remember what he said to me, it was like a year ago though. After that, I never bothered to spend the $$$ on it. Anyway, I did notice a big enough improvement with just the cold air and the K&N to keep me happy with it and not spend more $$$.
