New guy to the forum here, have an 02 GT I bought new in July- 17 months ago.

Added Mac CAI and cat back 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 chrome tips as well as a pro 5.0, 5 speed shifter and some bullit pedals and white gauges. Performed poorly at the track,(traction) and am in the process of winter performance mods to get into the 100 mpH club and lots more. My list includes 70 mm TB, 3.73 gears, pro chamber x pipe and drag radials or slicks. Any ideas as to what I should do first?

Well I did the install theMAC cold air intake with low restriction filter- I was told the 02 did not need a mass air is that wrong? So you think 70 mm TB is next? What about brands and idle problems? How much louder is a pro chamber, do you know? Also when I change to 3.73 should I add a locker, and what type?

PS: GO EAGLES, (season ticket holder)

PS: GO EAGLES, (season ticket holder)
Well THe cold air kit isn't really good for performance. You should go with the C&L mass air meter. I got it i makes the car run alot better and you can deffently feel the difference.Your best bet for the TB is a B.B.K. 75mm. I'm not to sure about the pro chamber. I got and everybody around here runs withFlowmasters. Yes go with the Locker when you do the gears. I did my gears with out the locker and had to go back in again to the the locker. When i should of did it all at once. Plus the locker makes a big difference in you traction and your handling believe it or not.

You need a new mass air meter to get some power, don't bother with your throttle body unless you plan on upgrading from manifolds to headers. And get 4.10 gears, not 3.73's..if you drove a 99+ GT with 4.10 gears and then drove yours with 3.73 gears you would be greatly dissapointed with your selection.

OK, now I am really confused. Should I go cut outs or pro chamber? If I go cut outs then I might as well go long tube headers right? Then I might as well change throttle body and mass air meter? What mass air meter do I need for this 02 GT 2v? How steetable are the 4.10s and what is the rpm in 5th on the highway at say 65mph?
