How do you pass inspection with Magnapacks in MA anyways? I had them and the registry literally came to my house and peeled my inspection sticker off.

With an O/R mid-pipe it'll be loud as all hell. You can get a Mac O/R H-pipe from brenspeed.com for $130 shipped I think, you will need MIL's unless you have a handheld tuner.

You can buy an off-road mid-pipe and buy cats from a local shop for 40-50 a piece and have them welded in...

magnapacks are a little different that my loudmouth 1's but more like the loudmouth 2's. the lm 1'd are a straight through design opposed to the resonator mufflers in the packs and in the lm 2's. its easy for me to pass cuz i know a guy and give him like 50 extra bucks to pass. i mean thats cheaper/easier than to switch out the mide pipe everytime.


dajawu are you getting an off road pipe for Long Tubes or for your stock manifolds? i have some for shorty headers/stock manifolds that i will be changing out soon to get SLP long tubes and a SLP x-pipe. If you want it I'll sell it for cheap. It is in perfect condition and looks brand new. lemme know.

Yea I am getting them for my stock headers for now, don't have money for LTs yet. I will buy your O/R when your ready to sell it, how long do you think? Dan, why did you get your inspection revoked because of the packs? Was it too loud or something?

i'll PM ya when im ready to get rid of them. most likely soon. i still have the stock mid pipe i could put on but that'll be a pita in change out just to change out again. im gonna try to get the headers soon with the shorter x-pipe soon so i'll let ya know.

In my opinion the O/R pipes sound terrible and def at higher rpms. Had the BBK offroad on my Cobra and I hate that raspy hollow sound. I also believe you loose TQ due to lack of back pressure. I would just save your money and get either a Bassani or Prochamber with two high flow cats-Shane

Everyone rags on the LM1's with an o/r Pipe... Raspy, Weedwacker... I have a sound clip of a 97 GT Flowtech LT's, Flowtech o/r X, and LM1's... I can see what people are talking about with a rapsy sound... Because when he rev's the engine, yes it sounds a little raspy... But if you like noise and you like a "Can't beat me" mean kind of sound.. Like a lot of people want, this is your setup. The raspy sound, sounds more like a big block / racing sound to me then any magnapack, especially when you rip it down the road (easily unmatched).

In my opinion if you like noise, LM's are the only way to go, especially if your looking for a "mean" sound. Flows only give you a deep drone in low RPM's.. Because I have then on my car now, and Im switching because they have no "real" rawr to them... Then after that (and at idle) they are extremely quiet, almost like stock. Of course if this is what your looking for have fun.. But If you like sound, don't listen to those people rag on the LM's and o/r pipes, they sound nasty.

i felt a huge difference when i put my off raod x pipe in especially on the highway.


i saw a nasty looking 03 GT today and it had off road x and packs and it sounded absolutely mean. i had to then show him whats up but its all good but this car sounded great and had the looks as well was a real sharp looking car
