ur final test scheduled will involve our Fox Lake Stage 2 CNC 2V ported cylinder heads. With our complete package, a good flowing exhaust system and a 75 mm throttle body, customers should realize a 175 hp gain over a stock 4.6 2V baseline! For example, a stock '98 4.6 2V will make approximately 180 rwhp, add Fox Lake CNC PI heads, street cams, and a P-51 intake and expect 300-320 rwhp. Add more aggressive race cams and expect 330-350 rwhp! A gain of up to 160-180 rwhp can be easily achieved.
The original poster asked what could be done without changing out the bottom end. Without a bottom end swap, you cannot realise the gains from the more agressive cams, intakes, and ported heads. The 4.6 needs to rev to make real N/A power, and the stock rotating assembly isn't gonna cut it.
