Authentic Bullitt?

Authentic Bullitt?
Hey, does anyone have any tips for making sure a car is a real BULLITT? I have found a used one and I want to make sure I'm not being put on. Is there a code in the VIN that can identify them?
Thanks

Well I know some ways that you can tell most fakes. First of all they will have a bullitt intake which is silverish in color and does not look like a stock GT one. Second, they have different seats, similar to a machs. They have a different speedo. They have bigger brakes with the calipers painted red with a white pony painted on them. They have GT badges on the side but a BULLITT badge in the back. They were made in only highlight green, true blue, and black. I'm sure I missed a few things. But thats some of the bigger differances.

They have no spoiler or holes for one you can check this by opening the trunk and looking on the bottom of the decklid. Noone in their right mind would do a V6-Bullitt conversion or buy an entirely new decklid to make up for the holes when you could easily patch them up.
They have no side-scoops, only these delete pieces.
They have special side skirts that are molded into a sort of mudguard behind the front wheel.

if you look at the door tag they have a diffent interior code than a gt for 2000. i can't remember what it is but i was looking at a bullitt a while back and i was kinda unsure of it. it had been in a wreck and alot of stuff got changed.

look in the engine bay, there should be a sticker on one of the strut towers with the serial number ex. bullitt no. 234 out of 5234 (not sure how many were made, but i think its somewhere around there)

Found this for you:

This shows many of the items you should see on a real bullitt. Good luck.
