unless you go with a roots or twin screw design supercharger, your gonna have boost lag on any supercharger</P>

3;27 gear is what I would recomend on a 5.0 so 3:55's like said before is a good gear..the 3:73 is a great gear if you have a 2.95 first gear

How about the same question for adding 100-125 shot of nitrous, 4:10 or 3:73? (In a 5 speed)

Horsepower is the ability for your car's engineto pull thorough the rpm's in a period of time. With a numerically larger gear, your car would fell as though it had more go. Now increase the hp of the engine and use the same tall gear, say 4:10, your car will not benefit as much from the work of your engine. For example use the lever principle. A short lever will require more work but with less distance needed. Compared to a long lever where less work is required but with more distance. So you can integrate to find the sweet spot of any work related equation. </P>

On an averagesuperchared or NO2 mustang, I would use 3:55-3:73 final.</P><edited><editID>O1stang</editID><editDate>38000.8404050926</editDate></edited>
