cause for some reason on my local auto trader they are posting 2 Bullitt's yet they are both black but have the red calipers with white pony insignia. also the place that has one of the cars is a Ford Dealership so that makes me wonder if all Bullitts came in green then why would they call this a Bullitt yet its black.

well i found something interesting, the BULLITS came Dark Highland Green, True Blue, and Black. so i guess maybe it is a BULLIT. i mean i doubt a ford dealership is going to say its a BULLIT and not know what it is. but if i ever go see it i wanna make sure that its a bullit and not some wanna-be.

well i checked the VIN on the free carfax report and it came up as a 2001 Ford Mustang GT, so my question now is is it really a BULLIT or does special models such as this appear as a GT, cause i know Bullits came with GT emblems on the side fenders. does anybody real know about this topic, it would be a great help. Thanks

The 2001 Mustang Bullitt GT was available in three colors: Black, the new True Blue, and Dark Highland Green, borrowed from Ford's F-Series lineup. There were 3041 green, 1818 black, and 723 blue Bullitts produced. Dark Highland Green was not available on any other Mustang. Exterior features included a blacked-out corral around the pony in the grille, red brake calipers with a silver Mustang, simpler side scoops, and a brushed aluminum fuel door. Spoilers and fog lamps weren't available on the Bullitt. 2001 Bullitt Mustangs had a retro interior theme. The new seats were designed after seats from the 1960s, and were much more comfortable than the standard seats. The numbers in the gauge cluster were written in a tall, thin font like in the 1960s as well. The shifter was aluminum and the door lock soldiers were silver, as was the shifter trim ring. The Bullitts had a different intake than the GT they were based upon, and the upgrades resulted in an additional five horsepower. The C-pillars were also altered, and "BULLITT" was engraved on the sill plates. Although Ford planned to produced 6500 Bullitts, only 5582 made it off the line. Click here for more info on the movie Bullitt, and be sure to check out pictures of the concept Bullitt. I like it a lot better. Visit the International Mustang Bullitt Owners Club for more info on Bullitts.

If everything matches up with what's written up there, it's gotta be a Bullit.
